Prieuré Roch
Domaine Prieure Roch was founded by Henry Frederic Roch, who is also a co-administrator of the legendary Domaine de la Romanee Conti. Practicing bio dynamic culture since 1988 along the path taken by his aunt Lalou Bize Leroy, Henry advocates minimum use of sulfites and prefers natural decantation in barrel during maturation. Bottling is done by gravity without filtration, preserving a unique intensity and finesse of the best Burgundy sites.
Since 2003, Yannick Champ is managing the Domaine, in charge of the wine making and viticulture. Under his care, the wines have gained in purity and definition, establishing Domaine Prieure Roch at the pinnacle of Burgundy.
Prieuré Roch 14 hectares vineyards are located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, in Gevrey Chambertin, Vougeot, Vosne Romanee, Nuits Saint Georges and since 2010 in Ladoix, Cote de Beaune. Close to eighty percent are Premiers Crus or Grands Crus.
The Domaine owns the great Clos des Corvees in Nuits Saint Georges, a Monopole of 5 hectares historically farmed since the 14th century. The Domaine’s other Monopole is the Clos Goillotte in Vosne Romanee.
